Belarus and Russia conclude with 15 medals each

K1WU23500mThe 2019 ECA Junior and U23 Canoe Sprint European Championships in Czech Republic has concluded with 500 and 200 metres finals. Belarus had another great day of racing winning five gold medals today, Ukraine won four gold medals, Poland and Russia celebrated three gold medals each, and Serbia and Czech Republic listened to the national anthem twice today.

Zdelar sets the fastest European time to win title

Serbian kayaker Bojan Zdelar produced the fastest time ever at European Championships in men's U23 K1 1000 metres event to win the gold medal. In ten finals that were organised today ten different European nations celebrated gold medals.

Belarus and Poland head the 200 metres heats in Račice

MEJ patekDuring the second day of the 2019 ECA Junior and U23 Canoe Sprint European Championships in Račice, Czech Republic, we have followed the 1000 metres semifinals in the morning part of the programme and heats of the 200 meters events in the afternoon. Representatives of teams from Belarus, Poland, Georgia, Russia, Ukraine and France produced the fastest heats times in nine 200 metres events that are in the programme of this European Championships.

The championships is open, show finished with a firework

openingPresident of the European Canoe Association, Mr. Albert Woods, has declared the 2019 ECA Junior and U23 Canoe Sprint European Championships officially open on Wednesday 10th July. In the beginning of the opening ceremony all 35 European countries participating at the championships were introduced. The hosting country closed the parade of flag-bearers – kayaker Stepanka Sobiskova waved the Czech flag.
