Regatta venue in Račice is proud to host another great international event - Canoe Sprint Olympic Hopes 2017. 797 participants from 33 countries including Australia, New Zealand, USA, Canada, Tunisia, Singapore, Japan or Argentina will fight for medals from Friday to Sunday.
In total 66 finals will be held in three days. Competitions kick off with 1000 m distance on Friday, 500 m on Saturday and 200 m races on Sunday.
Czech Team has 48 competitors born between 2000 and 2002 - 17 K1M, 12 K1W, 11 C1M and 8 C1W. There are junior medalists Tomáš Sobíšek, Jan Vorel, Ondřej Mašek, Štěpánka Sobíšková, Barbora Gádadová or Adéla Házová or successful athletes from the European Youth Olympic Festival. "It will be mainly about getting international experience. If they win some medals, it will be an extra bonus," said coach Pavel Hottmar.
