Belarus and Poland head the 200 metres heats in Račice
During the second day of the 2019 ECA Junior and U23 Canoe Sprint European Championships in Račice, Czech Republic, we have followed the 1000 metres semifinals in the morning part of the programme and heats of the 200 meters events in the afternoon. Representatives of teams from Belarus, Poland, Georgia, Russia, Ukraine and France produced the fastest heats times in nine 200 metres events that are in the programme of this European Championships.

The strongest teams set the best times on the opening day
The first competition day of the 2019 ECA Junior and U23 Canoe Sprint European Championships in Račice has brought the 1000 and 500 metres heats. The strongest canoe sprint nations have produced the best times today to directly advance to the finals A.

The championships is open, show finished with a firework
President of the European Canoe Association, Mr. Albert Woods, has declared the 2019 ECA Junior and U23 Canoe Sprint European Championships officially open on Wednesday 10th July. In the beginning of the opening ceremony all 35 European countries participating at the championships were introduced. The hosting country closed the parade of flag-bearers – kayaker Stepanka Sobiskova waved the Czech flag.

The canoe sprint show in Račice will start on Wednesday
The 2019 ECA Junior and U23 Canoe Sprint European Champipnship will go off on Wednesday June 10th with an opening ceremony starting at 7 p.m. in Labe Arena Račice. A performance of cheerleaders, jumping team called HOPsej and a daily firework will be part of the opening show. As of Thursday, 698 athletes from 35 European countries will be running the sporting show. Start lists and result will be available HERE. You can follow livestream HERE.
